WHY IT WORKS:
Once Barley Bale is placed in water, it begins to decompose. As the Barley Bale decomposes,
microbial growth is activated, releasing minute amounts of natural bacteria elements into the water. Barley Bales do not kill
the algae present in the pond; they stop the algae from growing. When the algae stops growing, it will not reoccur while the
Barley Bale is present. The use of IPS-CareFree Enzymes Pond Protector water clarifier will enhance the Barley Bales performance.
Enzymes break down the contaminants for Barley Bales to absorb. In early spring, before algae starts, treatments are
very important. The Barley may take 2 - 4 weeks to become active.
EASY TO USE:
Place Barley Bale near the filtration system (outlet side), where water is
allowed to penetrate. The first treatment should not be removed for two weeks after replacement is added to water. The amount of
Barley needed depends on the gallons of water being treated. One 4oz Bale or Mesh Bag will treat 500 gallons.
